« Cancer has had a significant impact in my life. My kids lost their grandmother to it 10 years ago. Last year I had my own personal battle with it. This year my mother was diagnosed. And recently a good friend, a mother of two young kids, was also given the heart wrenching news.
I wanted to find the best way I can help and came up with an idea utilising my business that can not only help her but other families on the Sunshine Coast also undergoing the strenuous treatment.
One of the biggest challenges is maintaining your daily ritual (especially with kids) whilst the impact and side-effects of the treatment start to take hold. I’d like to take the pressure off just slightly.
One night a week, I would like to deliver a pizza (or two), free of charge, to a family that is undergoing treatment for the kids to enjoy. At least one night a week the dinner decision is sorted.
Do you know of anyone that is battling cancer and may benefit from this service? Due to our current delivery ability the area of delivery would extend from Noosa – Eumundi – Cooroy, and every suburb in between. In time I hope to increase our delivery area.
In time, with the support of the community, I would like to extend this program to include house cleaning, gardening, laundry and other housekeeping duties. Together let’s make a difference.
